I normally build ship by painting all the superstructure and other parts separately, but because the Texas is entirely in measure 21, meaning it's almost entirely a single dark navy blue with the decks basically being the same color I'm just going to paint everything at once except some parts that might block the ease of painting like the turrets and other small guns and stuff. Decided to just stick the deck on as well and glue everything I could on because it's not worth spending hours attempting to mask it.
The only problem with doing it this way is it's very easy to mishandle the ship and have parts snap off, I've already had to re-attach several pieces of photo etch that snapped off while I was assembling everything.
