Mostly I just found the scene profoundly anti-climactic and disappointing, like pretty much ALL of the final portions/series installments of the IDW-1 continuity.
I honestly find myself wondering if the various series all started sprinting up their own assholes in a desperate attempt to wrap things up in time for the imminent corporate mandated reboot, and the writing suffered from either the rush or disheartening that caused.
Or if Management decided they needed to pull the plug and reboot the entire continuity due to the already present plummeting writing quality? Though from what I’ve seen, I can’t say IDW-2 is an improvement.
