>>6356913You're right. It indeed is a mid-throat articulated joint. It might look weird but Doll Chateau's lines are more created to be creepy or otherworldly hence why the weird joints. A look at their company photos shows they aren't supposed to look natural at all.
I love the neck joint because it gives a great range of articulation that can allow nice natural poses or go as far as making creepy broken neck poses.
The neck may be too long but imo it looks beautiful in high collar fantasy outfits.
