Also most girl figmas can't look directly to the ground with the neck joint in neutral position. Hell, most of them are pretty much bricks as far as being the torso goes. That joint works well in some instances like pic related or some action poses.
Is it a good tradeoff for how it looks? That's to each one to decide, but the joint does what it's supposed to do.
