There's a big difference between using a low resolution print for a person's face vs using it as highlights for the hair.
The argument isn't whether they use it or not, it's that it's a poor choice that's someone's face is entirely made up of just low density dots.
A face shouldn't look like a low resolution print, especially when you're paying upwards of $80 for the figure and when a children's toy company is actually paying more by layering paint for a better effect.
The highlights, like these burnt marks (low res printed), don't need to be solid paint apps to give the appearance that they're supposed to be a lips or eyeballs. highlights, scuff marks, shadowing, shading, can be broken up. hazy. feathered. You don't see me criticzing the stubble (the Cap beard looks like shit though) on any of the figures or even the scattering of dots to make it a little more like skin.
Shit like that is supposed to look fuzzy.
Your eyes and lips aren't supposed to look fuzzy, muchless look like a low res photo up close.
