>>11145725Marvel Selects usually have a lot of accessories. I can tell you don't buy them or even look at them. The only thing you got right is the articulation is usually shit. But that isn't even true for every single one. Like the Psylocke is painted, has roughly Legends-tier articulation (including double jointed elbows before Legends did them on females) and a lot of accessories, including a diorama piece. And frankly "paint isn't very good" doesn't even make sense. Compared to a Marvel Legend, the paint is far superior.
So what's the real reason Selects can still maintain a $30 price point? It's that Hasbro, McFarlane and Mattel have you all over a barrel. That's what. They're all deceiving you about how much it costs them to make these toys and they cut every corner. They then hand wring about paint app costs or distribution costs as if they couldn't eat those costs and still be selling the figures for a lot more than they cost to make.
