>>5209479Base is like with any other photography, be it humans or dolls: proper light, proper framing, nice setting, have an idea in mind and sketch it out before you take the picture.
It's not rocket science but you have to get the basics first.
What helped me the most was a) learning how to use my camera and b) look at pictures you like and ask yourself why you like them and how they probably achieved this look.
Learn how to edit too, most pictures are and it helps greatly.
Also, take your sweet time.
Even "simple" pictures often have hours of work behind them and photography can be very painful at times.
