Stalled quite a bit from my idea of fully finishing this month but the only big thing left to finish painting are the secondary dual-purpose turrets and the bridge superstructure, but I think is doable. The bridge superstructure as it’s proving to be a problem to paint the decks and then the main camo without seams and masking overall, I guess I’ll need to grind through it. Then I need a dust cover contraption for the whole ship with the masts on while I work on ladders and rails. Rigging is also something I need to find some clear pictures of it but now that I got some gel CA glue (I feel like a retard for not thinking about using it earlier) I’m not so worried about it anymore building-wise.
Of course, the ride doesn’t end there as weathering would come after and I’m really lost with how wwII ships weathered but I’ll worry about it once I get there, I guess.
My workspace and workflow are clearly not prepared for naval subjects and I couldn’t do a 1/350 one with this set up (or 1/32 planes either I imagine) so I’ll stick to 1/700 for now and learn from the PoW to optimize. Just ordered the Bismarck and Scharnhorst so probably once I finish this one the first one to show up will be the next project. I’m really tempted by the Montana too so I might pull the trigger on her
>tfw you know each ship will take months to build unless going full sweatshop, but they keep releasing qt3.14 all the time
