Just today I was bidding on a set and some madlad bid it up to £180, of course that's a price I can afford but I just wouldnt feel right paying so much for someone that came out recently at a much cheaper price.
The only time I've paid absurd amounts for a single figure was for a Mythic Legions Keltuss (a Skeletor homage figure) and I felt like a sucker for a decent amount of time afterwards (pic related is what I ended up doing with his parts).
