Hob-Lob Anon here. Here's what I've completed on Pickachu today. Most of his body has been built and I've painted on the details that the stickers would normally go. Tomorrow I'm going to spray his body with a satin finish and give a glossy clear coat to his eyes & mouth parts. By Monday he should be ready for final assembly & completion.
Pickachu is about 3" if you're wondering. The Gundam model next to him is a 1/144 model. Build time for me was about an hour, but I was taking my time painting, gluing, & sanding parts. So expect a full build to be around a half hour if you're just popping parts of sprues and using stickers instead of paint. The parts can be easily removed by hand so you won't get a Nubs Destiny Pikachu.
>>7983544>Hobby lobby sells bandai again?>>7983920>do they have gunpla?>>7983959>I've heard they stop carrying them in 2015Hob-Lob only sells Bandai's Star Wars kits and now these Pokepla kits. I frequent several Hob-Lobs in my area and I've NEVER seen a Gundam kit there. Obviously Pokemon & SW have more mass marketing appeal than something more niche like Gundam. Still, it's a step in the right direction. The Boba Fett & Stormtrooper Luke kits are very good and are only $25 when you use the 40% off weekly coupon. If you're looking for non-internet sources for Gundam kits, check out your local weeb store or Hobbytown. The nearest one to me is over an hour drive but they have a HUGE selection at reasonable prices. They're also stocking Frame Arms Girls and several other weeb kits.
