>>6603496Reading your post I agree with you on almost everything your saying. I only have a problem with the 'dollflower/urethane eyes or don't even bother crowd. Or the people who tell newbies that if they aren't willing to save an extra $500 for doll acceories after they get the doll their doll will look terrible.
As far as nobody putting a gun to my head and forcing me to follow trends that's also true, but there is such a thing as peer pressure and at the time I was fresh out of high school where you learn that if you aren't following the crowd your getting trampled on by them. I feel like the hobby has grown so much over the years that a lot of the exclusionary behavior has gone down and is now a thing that only really happens on confession blogs.
On the subject of eyes, I wonder why another company has never tried to do acrylic eyes the way hujoo did a while back. They sold acrylic eyes that had a very shiny coating on them that made them look pretty good for acrylics and they were mad cheap. I remember thinking that eye style was going to become the new baby's first doll eyes but they never took off and hujoo never has them in stock anymore. Pic related, all of hujoo little animals came with those eyes.
