There weren't a lot of toys imported, but they sold well among the nostalgiafags. Pretty much the only ones that shelfwarmed were the two Vipers, Heavy Duty and Ripcord. Cobra Commander wasn't very popular either. It was around that time that Jin Saotome was making money and connections with his customs. I resented the man greatly because he came off as insufferably full of himself and his customs were super inaccurate. I saw an Accelerator Suit somewhere on /toy/ and decided to pick one up for a T-46 custom. Both because I wanted a toy of the armor and to criticize Jin's work. Stuff happened and I left the custom half-sculpted. I dug it up years later with newfound appreciation for the base figure, so I removed all the Green Stuff with no regrets. Not to stroke my ego, but I had done good enough to surprise myself. You can still see bits of putty in the pics.
I wish I'd found Duke. He was more screen accurate with his dark suit and gauntlets. But Ripcord is also good. I picked up Heavy Duty as well because his armour is bitchin.
