Katsu Don explains that this is why he wanted to destroy the world entirely, its energies being dangerous to fall into the wrong hands. Gran then arrives through a portal to battle Devil Z, leaving his human Pretender shell to form the head of Grand. Boy does it sting that they're not giving us that shell.
