It COULD die, but Hasbro/Paramount are still making the third movie, so it'll go back to normal retail again.
And subscription would likely kill it, as Hasbro doesn't seem to want to sell 10k-20k figures a year like Mattel does.

It sells because of it's cartoony techno-y style. It's what separates it from all other military toylines.
