>>10561777Inflation is very mild in Japan, just 10% in the last two decades, that wouldn't affect toy prices much. By contrast, USD got depreciated by 70% in the same timeframe. Domestically produced goods in Japan have been consistently selling for the same price since the last century, some have been even getting cheaper like rice. Gunpla's value has been the same for 30 years, a modern 1000 yen kit gets you roughly the same number of parts and plastic weight as in the 90's. Gunpla is also produced domestically, Nendoroids aren't. The real problem is the drastic change of logistics in the last 10-15 years, not the inflation. China is harder to do business with now, the labor and shipping costs have increased.
