It is not that they cut down on the ASS. It's the changes in the color with the thighs. They should keep the front part red to keep the color consistency and the general color coherent like a humanoid body at least with the legs.
The late color lineup is really jarring.
I guess it is to keep the same as the original design. But it probably kept me buying any of windblade's toy in the past too.
