>>7816571I got Shizue in a small unassuming box about the size & shape of what Pop-tarts usally come in. She came loose, but she did have all her parts and a booklet in several plastic bags. I’ve heard horror stories and seen pics of low quality bootleg Figmas already broken in the box. So I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of Shizue when I first got her. Her joints feel solid and they move smoothly. The plastic feels like the satin-finish kind used in Figmas and not low quality. There’s paint slop, but it’s mostly on par with common domestic figures. Overall, Shizue’s build quality is somewhat below genuine import figures, but a bit higher than domestic figures, even “adult collectibles” such as Marvel Legends or DC Universe. Thirty bucks is a fair price for this figure with shipping included.
Shizue is very well sculpted and just oozes personality. Articulation is great with no real hindrances in the joints. You can put her in a lot of dynamic poses and she’ll look great doing so. If the bootleg is this good, I’d imagine that the real one is possibly one of the best overall figures out there.
The only major fault I found besides the bootleg quality is the base stand. Shizue only has one foot peg hole in her left toe. The base has a peg, but it’s only slightly off center. That means that Shizue’s right leg tends to be off the base with most poses, including her squatting position. With her tiny feet, this makes Shizue unstable and prone to falling over when attached to the base.
