>>8973275>What's this I hear about a Zeta line coming?Mostly rumour mongering/speculation that Bandai is gonna sidestep 8th MS Team and get started on Zeta Gundam figures for the next series in the ANIME line. Some of it started with me claiming this seeing a proto Marasai, Gabthley, and a huge Messala(latter two were being designed to transform in-hand at that stage) in '19; and how bad the 0083 ANIME figs were seemingly doing at the time after the 0080 figures that could be looked as middling themselves.
Whenever they make the Zeta ANIME figures though, they will be completely new updated figures.
>Any recommended figures to grab?Pic-related is my default, though it seems to be pretty scarce these days. Still, for the Gundam side of things, see if a favourite MS has a figure in the newer Ver. ANIME subline; will likely be the best merch(strictly in terms of articulation, colour, and accessories; not price sadly...) of that favourite MS in the 1/144 approximate scale these RDs fall under. MS RDs NOT under the ANIME subline are still okay, found for WAY cheaper than the ANIMEs; but closer in execution to modern day MSiA figures really. In some cases a bit smaller, less accessories or a bit more basic; and stylized in their own way. Recently picked a OLD/OG RD Nu Gundam, Den'an Zon & Gei, and Titans Mk. II Gundam for very cheap; still think they're worthwhile toys especially with a cut price tag.
Will second the recommendation on the Dunbine line along with
>>8973322, quality is near the same(one flaw being reports of the clear insect wings being fragile at the ball joint...) as the ANIME subline; just the Dunbine RDs came out way before the ANIME figures.
Also there are the Evangelion RDs. With some new figures recently, but going for pretty cheap/on sale depending on where you find them. There's an OG line of Eva RDs as well that can be found for cheap as well, but weirdly I've seen the new ones got for the same prices; so I'd say focus on the ones.
