>>6432626Thank you for the info. So, around 8 years old, kids liked them and parents bought them, despite the R-rated origin. Did you and your friends buy the Marines, and if so did you like them despite the limited articulation? I just bought the Aliens because after growing up with GI Joes, anything less articulated was passed over.
>>6432616Neat looking stuff. I stopped by a few local TRUs to see about buying a Neca Alien but there were just a few Marine two packs, and despite looking nice didn't feel up to dropping $45 on them. Maybe it's not feasible, but it would be nice to see a new non-Hasbro Aliens line at some halfway point between Kenner and GI Joe/Neca quality, with a more parent-friendly price tag. Would kids go for it, or would it languish on store shelves in favor of electronic gadgets and construction toys?
Hopefully in some nearby parallel universe where things turned out better, kids are playing with Aliens: Mutation War figures. Sergeant Leones and his squad of Bug Stompers take their Mark 3 Light and Sound Action dropship down to the surface of AR-558. Their orders are to find out why the transmitter relay stopped working, but they're almost overrun by what Doc calls Lamprey Aliens (with spring loaded bite attack)! Who wins? You decide!
