First up we have a MaK build with a pretty descriptive background from the builder
>As the war on Earth raged on weapons and technology continued to advance, and older examples were frequently sold off as they became obsolete, slowly trickling out into the stars and the colonies. Liaoning was one such colony, founded by China. From early on it had suffered from a growing insurrection, and moves to unseat the communist government. To counter this the CCP acquired the rights to manufacture the PKA Ausf H, giving their troops an armoured corps. However the Ausf H proved to have several flaws, notably its thin armour and the large canopy that whilst bulletproof proved to be vulnerable.
>To counter this the Zhuāngjiǎ de upgrade package was created. This consisted of a 35mm armoured plate that was welded to the front, with a separate strip above the chest vent, standoff plates over each forearm, 10mm plates around the engine, steel plates with vision slits over the side view ports, and two steel plates over the canopy with a covering of special heat-dissipating ceramic over the top, as well as a 10mm Type 203 PDW attached to the left forearm with a 71 round drum magazine and the Panzerfaust replaced by a locally made 60mm recoilless rifle. These upgrades resulted in a far better protected unit, but reduced both the mobility and vision, the latter moreso, making navigation and target acquisition far harder. Despite this, the units were loved by the pilots.
>The example shown here comes from the 5th Corps, 7th Platoon, "Beast Squadron" and sports a non-regulation modification in the form of the Type 56N rifle and carry rack.
