>>8040445>One line doing bad is a precedentAgain, Overwatch is a single game from about 4 years ago that came and went in popularity (Despite how much Blizzard wants to push it). Even ignoring Lego's problem with violence and shooting in sets, the problem with the Lego sets (And subsequently all the other licensed Overwatch shit like the Hasbro lines) is that it came too damn late in the game's lifetime. If the OW sets came out even a year earlier when people still gave half a shit about the game then you might've see more people buy them, but the truth is the line came too damn late for anyone to give a fuck outside of the die-hard Blizzard fans or people that wanted a figure of their old main. Mario on the other hand is a video game icon and has managed to survive nearly 40 years of video games without disappearing from the public eye. Comparing Mario to Overwatch is like comparing Lego Space to a theme nobody gave a fuck about like World Racers
Also reminder that the Minecraft line has been around since 2013 and still gets sets regularly.
