>>11360374I am going to have to check out some of those companies. Thanks for the rabbit hole to go down. I'm not the "evergreen" anon but I totally agree with him that Motu could appeal to kids forever if handled properly.
>>11360130>the motu style is too niche or corny or nostalgic for anyoneSee I don't really agree with this. Those goo jitsu toys show that kids just like stuff that's colorful, and maybe a little bit weird or monstrous. The only think I would change really is giving He-Man some pants, because the almost nude barbarian is kind of an 80s thing. Someone bought all the Origins and WWEternia stuff that showed up in the dollar store.
>>11360285My two cents - get them some clearance Origins like Buzz Off and a few vintage that have working gimmicks but are no longer collector quality. That's been my approach. They are on their 3rd vintage Kobra Khan because his pump stops working, but its not a big deal when I'm paying pocket change for one with rubbed off paint. Sy Klone, Meckaneck, Extendar, Tung Lasher, and Rattlor are other good cheap ones whose gimmicks seem to function.
>>11360235Thanks. It was inevitable they would turn out this way.
>pic semi-relatedSorry for poor quality but I didn't want to move how they left the toys before bed. I believe that Rio and Snakey are rescuing He-Man and his twin.
