>>9994577 - the old alt mode consisted of just folding the robot in half, complete with just leaving his arms hanging out awkwardly; the wheels weren't even attached to the body, they were a partsforming piece that acted as a 'weapon' for the Pretender shell. Compare that to the new Iguanus, who actually transforms, accomplishes it without necessary partsforming (you CAN put his gun on top, but he doesn't need it to complete the transformation like the old version needed those wheels), actually has moving wheels, and the fact that he now has an actual seat area big enough for other bots to ride him (and the seat itself is a lizard tail. How cool is that?), and I'd say it's obvious that Legacy Iguanus' alt mode is an all around improvement compared to the original.
> I'd much rather have them all at least at deluxe, ideally voyager because they've always been depicted as gigantic evil bruisers. Their sizes have always been inconsistent (especially the Autobot ones). I like them as Cores, personally - not just because the inner bots were small, but because I prefer them to be human-sized, since the whole idea behind them (particularly the Japanese ones like Metalhawk) was that they were supposed to be hiding among humans. True, the Decepticons' forms made it pretty obvious that they weren't human, but at least it wasn't immediately obvious that they were Robots In Disguise (TM).
Besides, Core class bots pair pretty well with my Beast Wars/Beast Machines Basics characters, so there's that.
