>>7944456Garage Kits are a niche in an already niche hobby as it is, it's a poor expectation to think "If you don't want to buy garage kits then you're a crossboarder american".
Hell most people on this board have no reason to go out of their way to buy GKs in the first place. What reason would people in the Lego threads or Model Railroad/Hot Wheels generals that pop up have to get a GK if they don't pertain to their interests? Why would a Transformers-fag need to grab a GK when they already have a large third-party market along with various 3D print producers? There are a multitude of interests here that encompass more than just "I made a garage kit of something original/something from my favorite anime/manga/video movie/game/etc and I want to sell it to you". This isn't saying those releases aren't cool, there's just a wider variety of toys posted here that the garage kits that pop up at Wonder Festival each year don't cover, and if they do they're vastly overshadowed by the anime/video games/etc stuff.
One of my favorite releases last year was pic related, the Riesen Panzer IV. It's a 2018 plastic recast of a resin kit from 2013 and was one of the best kits I've put together in a long time after building a bunch of 1/35 tanks for the last year. I like resin kits and Garage Kits in general, but they're not something I can feasibly put together in my small apartment compared to your average plastic kit.
>Hurr dumb crossboarder!I've been here since this board launched in early 2008 when it was pretty much /lego/ for the first couple of months, throw that complaint elsewhere.
>Hurr dumb burger!I'm from the UK you cunt. Stop trying to blame your insecurities about how niche your hobby is on a single group of people, you keep that up and you're just as bad as the burgers you're making fun of.
