Instead of that complicated rig which lowers the Gahlok shield into a very specific and intentional position, I feel that it's much more likely that the armor on his back looks the way it does by accident. I've now attached it from the bottom onto a pin/axle converter so that it's solid, but could have feasibly been knocked to one side. I think this is how it appears in the official photo.
There were many different ways I could have solidified the elements that protrude from his waist. But I noticed that while they're obviously secured by something, they were at a very slight angle, which is captured by the way that I've attached them here.
Finally, I noticed a pinhole within the middle of his body and that realization sparked this whole idea. I've added some mass inside of his torso which ensures everything in the back is well connected and that the hips don't wobble.
