>>6240594They look more human / realistic, But they look less like the actual actors they are trying to represent. His Gaston look nothing like the actor. His Belle looks like a much older woman than the girl who plays her in the film.
On a side note, I saw the film this morning, and found it enjoyable, but I still prefer the animated version way more. These are my thought on it. Emma Thompson wasn't able to bring the warmth to Mrs. Potts as Angela Lansbury did, but she was ok. Chip didn't have any brothers or sisters, but it was nice to see him reunited with his father. We got a back story into what happened to Belles mother which was nice.
Trigger Warning! Disney pulls a tear jerking PIXAR style moment at the end which has nothing to do with the Beast himself. The lady next to me said "Worst Disney movie ever" out of sadness.
All in all I'm glad I got the dolls/merch, and I can't wait to see what Hot Toys does with their Emma Watson doll.
There were two gay moments in the film. If you don't want to know what they are you can stop reading now. The large enchanted Wardrobe attacks the villages at the end as she does in the animated film by dressing men as woman. Two of the men run off screaming while one enjoys being dressed in drag. This is also the same man who dances with Lefou in the film.
