Almost everything post KBs are licensed products. There's been like 3 times in the past 10 years that McFarlane has done a McFarlane owned character.
Anyway, McFarlane maybe a medium sized company, but theres almost no instance where anyone would have handled the property. Since they're mainly a mass market company, almost everything they license wouldn't affect companies like NECA or Mezco from also making a figure and the only other mass market company that is worth anything is Hasbro, and Hasbro had shown they're not interested in doing video game properties. That's why it's a huge surprise they even got the Overwatch license.
As for DC, anyone was seriously better than Mattel since 2008 and I doubt McFarlane is going to step on any toes when he makes his DC figures. Mezco, Hiya, Spinmasters, etc all seem to have their own niche carved out with what they're producing and i hope DCC still has some capacity in making figures.
