>>8377437>Cu-Poche's only advantage were GuP, FAG figure lines and very "strong" original figures.Agree on this, Kotobukiya making poches of series that GSC have not got into was a good move or their original IP like FAGs or their Friends line, I think part of the problem was that they didn't keep expanding these IPs and lines; they released almost all the FAGs characters, but never announced poches based on the Megami Device characters and the Busou Shinki characters (licence they got from Konami), same goes for the Friends line, I like their Alice poche, but IMO they lose precious time releasing 2 more color variants instead of making more characters like a White Rabbit, Red Queen or a Mad Hatter; that was a lost opportunity, GuP was a great line but they didn't release more characters (I think) due that Koto losing the licence when Bandai got the Actas studio, this happened with GSC too, no more GuP nendos/nendo petits/nendo tanks
Also Koto making Fate poches was a bad move, or at least making poches of characters that already had a nendo counterpart was a mistake, if they were to invest time and money on that route, they should have been spending making poches of servants that didn't have a millon figures including a nendo
>Koto dropped doing Poches of existing characters, likely because sales weren't good enough to compete with GSC who had been doing it long beforeThey didn't really have to compete with GSC, but it's true that the line need to be profitable since day one, IDK if the sales weren't good enough to the people on charge in the company, but there was some heavy delays in the early 2018 thru early 2019 that delayed almost everything that they have scheduled in production, I guess that this affected sales to the point of making Kotobukiya considering cancelling the line
