Honestly we are adults talking about toys. Some people are representation purists and things NEED to look exactly like a certain piece of media. Others want to capture a spirit of something they love. And most people are a mixture of both. I have no attachment for to Hush as a comic book, but the mafex release of Superman in that style was near perfect. It lacked a smiling head which is quintessential to the character in my mind. So I could either blindly consoom and have a place holder until the “next product” that is a marginal improvement comes out. Or I could take initiative and adapt something to fit my tastes because my collection is for me at the end of the day.
