I know why people complain about Mirage but you have to remember a couple of things.
Mirage's robot mode proportions only exist because of the formula 1 car it was based on has a much more shorter nose than the one they are using, that car is kind of so old news that no kid or even adult would understand what the fuck his car mode was other than an ugly fantasy car, and his robot mode proportions based on the cartoon are already a huge ask for a figure that has to transform.
MMC's Mirage did pull the robot mode and car mode perfectly but the engineering it required is way out of Hasbro's retail budget. I'm talking of every section having as many parts as a modern retail transformer. It's just not feasible.
