in fact, year one the board was almost nothing but nostalgia. so if there was a vote for toy of the year in 2008, it would have been for Toy Biz MLs because of how shitty everything was during that time.
Also, I'm pretty sure Hasbro's 25th GI Joes were voted in for toy of the year for many years, since the GI Joe base was so large back then.
