The lack of red stripes on the tail is a little weak, as is the Autobot badge, but this one makes up for it by having one on each wing, which is stylish, I guess. The worst bit is that the framework on the canopy is painted blue instead of gray, it really makes it seem bland, even if it is "cartoon accurate". I've thought about prying the cockpit apart and swapping them, but it's hard to do without damaging the pins/shafts. I suppose I could always just glue it back together.
And the added paint on the headmasters themselves is excellent. One of the biggest reasons I like the Takara versions. Makes them feel like actual little figures instead of just "unpainted partsforming" as the cool kids say.
I know it makes me sound like a Takaracuck, but I just wanted to offer a positive opinion on one of the more reviled Takara Legends releases so far.
