I think 90% of the bitching about him by guys who don't like him would've been solved by giving him revo jointed kneecaps and maybe an optional set of red joints for his shoulders if you really are extra butthurt about double ball joints. He's basically the perfect Spiderman figure as is unless you're the sort of person who wants a statute when they say they want an "action figure".

Why would you sell off your old stuff? No real reason to. Also we have no idea how long the line will continue, or what will be featured in the future beyond Wolverine.
