Why are you set on metal pins anyway? What is the actual benefit? With this POM joint with the PVC portion passing through the holes like what we call current 'pinless' joints (see pic), they are able to have detents in there which gives the joints the strength to not get loose over time and have that slight ratchet feeling. You can't do that with a metal pin.
Metal pins won't work well with PVC figures anyway. Transformers and other Japanese figures don't use PVC like 95% of US made mass produced figures so unless you're saying you want figures to be made of a different material entirely AND had metal pins (again, why?) ten I have no idea what this thread is even about.
