What's the best way to remove the adhesive residue and acrylic craft paint from this old 3.75" scale R2D2? In the last thread anon suggested using acetone, but the one time I tried using that with a Lego minifig head I melted the plastic. Is there a recommended dilution, or should I just try soaking it in Simple Green for a few days like I had planned?
Ultimate goal is to get everything cleaned up so I can airbrush it chrome.
