Stocks are meant to transfer energy from the weapon into the shoulder to absorb the recoil to keep the weapon accurately pointed. That's a stock's specific specially clearcut explicit objective design!
I can only imagine someone creating that butt stock because someone found a couple of stocks for cheap at a sporting good or gun store.
