>>5455208>>5455220We actually have a 7 year old daughter. Her getting old enough for LEGO actually lined up with the Friends line debut back in 2012.
Since I'm thrifty, live in an area where LEGO is routinely out on cleaeance, and also am a "horrible eBay seller scum" on the side, I use most of the profit to get her and I extra LEGO.
As of right now, she has every Friends set and polybag from 2012 to 2014.
It's always been staggered release to her for good behavior/grades/birthdays/Xmas, but I feel I oversaturated her. She honestly doesn't play with them much anymore. She's gone through phases of playing with the built sets (which don't stand up to much playwear), to building her own stuff (which was all awesome), to just building then putting on her shelf.
She's honestly had more fun with my giant "Minifig Box", a segmented tub of just minifig parts and accessories spanning at least 500 to 600 dollars of minifig parts that I throw soare CMF parts, stuff I get thrifting, and pieces I find discarded on the floors of the Walmarts/Targets. So for now I've stopped trying to keep her Friends collection 'complete'. With Disney Princess and Elves now (some of which she has), the sheer quantity is too much to keep up with, as well as sets being very similar to ones she already has from yesteryears (SO. MANY. HORSES.)
I just hope she gets back into them later or I have another kid. With all this stuff I need another to share the wealth.
