Every year I pray for a rerelease of Hresvelgr Rufus Masterfile with the corrected forearm support all newer Hresvelgr have and in my disappointment am reminded once again that God isn't always listening.
Another year passes and another Hresvelgr Rufus isn't released. Oh sure. There was a Bikini Armor. And an Albus. And an Atel. And a Hresvelgr Fairy Version. And an Atel Summer Version. And a Hresvelgr (original). And a Hresvelgr Invert. And a Hresvelgr Invert (second color). And a Hresvelgr Rufus Bikini Armor. And a Hresvelgr Clear Parts Append Kotobukiya Shop Limited Edition. And a Hresvelgr Clear Parts Append Standard Edition.
So something like twelve or fifteen Hresvelgrs and I'll get stopped and the police will always ask the same questions, and then, guns drawn, will ask if I have any loaded weapons or instruments of harm in my vehicle that they should know about, to which I respond,
"There isn't a Hresvelgr Rufus Masterfile with the corrected forearm support in this car."
And so they lower their weapons and depart in silence. There's a fully painted and assembled Hresvelgr model kit behind some glass at the station. Right next to a picture of the two people who built it, the former chief of police and his son. But it doesn't have a sephia tone. A black and white one to clearly indicate that they're no longer with us.
And these honest, hard working people seem to give me a pass, because it was my bullets that put their murderer to rest if not by complete accident. They didn't even fill out the paperwork for it. Figured no judge would even believe the sequence of events that day.
This was a Gourai town but I was treated like I had gone insane after that. Whatever would keep me out. Yet at the same time we all knew.
We were just one updated Hresvelgr Rufus Masterfile away from all hell breaking loose.
