You were misinformed a little on the action pose thing. By all means, leave it in action poses. Just be mindful of the hips. They are capable of a ton of range, but the crotchpiece tucks into the top of each thigh. So if you raise the legs too high and leave them there for a long time, it can warp the rubbery crotchpiece. As long as you don't do that, you're fine.
