i had to replace the o-ring on my 86 sgt. slaughter and the screw tread was caked in plastic as i took it out. seems the plastic disintegrated on its own, since this was in storage, out of sunlight, at normal temperatures, and had never been taken apart before.
i don't want to glue the torso back together, since i may have to replace the o-ring again and then i won't be able to take it apart.
any advice?
