Three or even 100 shitty sculptors doesn't negate the fact that figures being cross compatible through scale was and still is one of the most successful marketing gimmicks to ever be used.
There's at least 50 years of history that proves this.
It's such a popular gimmick that it's one of the biggest factors in people buying/disliking various toylines.
Showing scale is in almost every review, either with comparison with other toylines or/and measurements. It's one of the most popular types of photographs on /toy/ too.
Also, i should point out that bucks stopped being use sometime in the 90s.
