>>6703787I don't think transforming him is as bad as people made it out to be. He's definitely complex, and I don't think it's the kind of transformation you'd easily figure out on your own, but it's not unintuitive. Like the arms just pull out MP Wheeljack-style and the legs work similarly to MPM Bumblebee, you fiddle with the chestplate and backpack (emphasis on fiddle, there are a lot of minor steps) for a minute or so and you're done.
I still don't like the fake chestplate in robotmode, but it's actually still the vehicle's roof and the only "real" fake part is the windows. I always think that if a part has to be fake it should be as close to the real one as possible, and I think it at least passed on that regard.
Also I like the way the windshield spins around to the back here.
