I still can't believe they missed the opportunity to include (at least) ONE le-epic Knight Minifigure with this dragon, considering how well the D&D CMFs did
to be that one thing to push people over-the-fence if they kinda wanted the dragon but really wanted the awesome character.
or... it could have been a "coupon" discount if the person doesn't care about the minifigs but only the big dragon (there are people who could sell off the minifigs for a few bucks)
let's be perfectly honest, to Lego Company, that minifig is still only a small amount of cheap plastic only different from a regular brick by the fact of paying the artist to design the torso/face print, which I have to imagine is not that big a deal either, for Lego Company at this point
they sell all kinds of Minifigures sets directly to adults (Twilight? Jaws?) so they can't say including minifigures makes it too "childish" and it would sell better as JUST a dragon (that argument might work for a radio set or roller skate, but even those could have sold better with an old-school DJ or 1950's skate rink person)
