I made the mistake of shading the whole head, but that made his face look real dirty, like he's been hit with a mudball. So I did a quick wash with my "Barbarian Flesh" tone to clean him up. Sadly I lost the great dark line of his mouth, but at that time I decided to put down the brush for good and call it finished.
