http://matrixarmory.blogspot/2012/01/mold-making-cheap-and-easy.htmlThey used it for large props but the general idea applies to smaller objects too. The trick is to apply the caulk in thin layers, letting it cure after 1~2 hours, then reapply the next layer.
Results are generally good for this 1-piece mold. It captured all the details on the mold-side but there's issues with air-bubbles in both the mold and the cast. Would like to experiment again when I find the time.
