I started working on my custom Rambo figure recently after having to essentially start over and then going on a long hiatus. I started getting back into my Joe projects recently though (you may have seen my Falcon custom in the last thread).
Today I finished Rambo's bow but I can't test fit it on Rambo since his hands are in the mail. If someone else was gonna do a test pose with Rambo's bow I decided it had to be Spirit. I'm super happy with how this thing turned out. I 3D printed some iron sights to make it look more like Rambo's bow, and I even drilled holes in it so I could string it with real thread. I might re-string it if I can find a better thread that doesn't have those whisps all over it (preferably something synthetic) but I think the effect is great, and it can actually be posed while drawn without looking like ass. It's a print from Anthanatos Unlimited on Etsy, in case anyone's curious.
If I find a good enough thread I might even consider re-stringing some of my official Hasbro bows. In any case, Rambo is almost finished, I'm expecting him to be done within the next few days depending on how long I have to wait for those hands, and if I can find a free evening to finish painting his head.
