is for the minifigs. the house/car/whatever can be built with bricks
I realize that sometimes minifigs can be moc'd, too, but Lego has manipulated that perception cleverly. remember when Luke Skywalker used a regular hairpiece? that was good enough. now he has a specific, special, matches closer to the movie style hairpiece.
Lego still does that old-school matching for things (the Twilight house didn't make specific hair pieces, but they had new face prints)
but mostly I'd like the new hair pieces (and face prints) for things that they can't match with an existing piece (and I'm super cool with Lego stealth-capturing IP's by making "generic" pieces in non-specific sets. remember they made "The Rachel" hairpiece years before they made a real F.R.I.E.N.D.S. set!)
