>>8897690Probably pic related sometime around 2002 despite it being a 1997 set. Sets use to sit on shelves / linger in stock a lot longer than they do now. The Lego Company's sales are like ten times what they use to be so everything moves and gets cleaned oot a lot quicker.
Also, not very well known, but the Lego group sold individual pieces and figures if you phoned and asked around that time. And they sat on really old stuff. As a kid, I was able to order 100+ vintage islander, pirate, castle figures through customer service despite them being oot of print for years. I think that was mid-2000s.
