He is damned good.
He's so good, I'm even willing to overlook the fake chest, which, in my view, gets a pass, both because the *actual* hood of the car is hidden in robot mode, so there's nothing like what, for example, ER Runabout does, with the fake hood chest while the real chest sits in plain view on the back. The Illusion remains unbroken, is what I mean.
Also, and this is more personal taste, but the real good ends up in the same general location as the "fake" hood anyway, so it's fine, to me. Feels less like cheating and more like perfecting the look.
Other than that, he's basically perfect. Looks great, obviously, poses great, the transformation is clever and fun, and results in a vehicle mode that looks fantastic, and a robot mode that's thin and kibble free. Considering they took two whole Masterpiece attempts and failed, that's extremely impressive. It took me until just now, comparing the toy to the original lineart, to realize he doesn't have tail lights, and frankly, I don't care. He's just that much fun.
