I have a question that you anons may be able to answer.
I was never a huge Transformers fan, but from the the late 2000s to early 2010s I did end up buying a few and enjoying them.
It started with what I believe was called the "Classic Series" Bumblebee. You know the one that turned into a little hatchback and had jet ski trailer jet back. I bought a bunch from that series, as well as the follow up series. The toys from the first movie never did anything for me, so I skipped them. But then Revenge of the Fallen came out and the toys were fantastic. I bought a whole bunch of them as well as some from the Dark of the Moon. After that my interest sort of fizzled out, due to a combination of financial issues, the series moving in different direction to what I was interested in and the movies looking like shit. I do remember looking at some Transformers a few years later and thinking that they looked smaller then the when I was buying, then finding out online that that was the case.
Anyway, back then the movie lines seemed (at least to me) to have two rough scales, a larger and a smaller one.
The larger scale was made up of cars as Deluxes, larger vehicles like Ironhide and Ratchet as Voyagers and Optimus as a Leader Class, with the little Legends Arcee fitting in nicely.
The smaller scale was Ironhide and Ratchet as Deluxes, with Optimus as an Voyage and car sized vehicles being Scouts (what few there was). I had/have figures in both these scales. But while I had an Optimus, Ironhide and Ratchet in both scales, there was (oddly enough) never a Scout Bumblebee.
Anyway, skip ahead to the other day when I noticed a movie Bumblebee figure in a toy store; the "Studio Series Deluxe Bumblebee". Pic Related. Despite being a deluxe, it looks smaller then what I remember/expected and I started to wonder if it would work with my smaller scale movie figures.
So would it? Would it look fine, scale wise, next to the Voyager Optimus? Or is it still a bit big?
